Bicycle sharing is a new mode of transportation that offers Yerevan’s citizens the ability to use bicycles for getting from one location to another. The bicycle sharing network is meant to be shared among citizens, so bicycles should be picked up in public locations and left in public locations, such as sidewalks. A 1-Day Pass costs 1,000 AMD for 24 hours, 3-Day Pass costs 2,000 AMD for 72 hours, Monthly Plans cost 9,000 AMD per month, and Annual Plans cost 49,000 AMD per year. For monthly and annual plans, you can take an unlimited number of 45-minute rides. For example, a monthly plan user can ride from home to work, from work to a restaurant for lunch, and from work to home all for one monthly price – as long as no single ride exceeds 45-minutes. The ride limit is set by us to ensure that there are enough bicycles for all riders in our network. This way we can all share the benefits of a public bicycle sharing network. Rides longer than the ride limit will be charged 300 AMD for every 15-minutes beyond the ride limit.

The team at YerevanRide has worked hard to understand how best to provide Yerevan’s citizens a form of transportation that can compete as an alternative for cars. First, YerevanRide bicycles have 7 gears, making it easier to ride around Yerevan’s sometimes hilly terrain. Second, we will be offering electric bicycles to make it really easy to ride around Yerevan’s steep regions. Third, for those that don’t have credit cards, we allow you to pay using cash by TelCell terminal. Velvioo is the operating company behind YerevanRide, while YerevanRide is the brand for their bicycle share operation in Yerevan.
The YerevanRide team is actively working with the Yerevan Municipality in helping them build the necessary infrastructure to make riders safer and more comfortable riding bicycles in Yerevan. We are also actively work with community groups in Yerevan to make more bicycle lanes a reality. The YerevanRide team plans to share all usage data with the Municipality to help them in planning where bicycle lanes should be built.
Bicycles need to be returned in public areas, such as sidewalks. They should not be taken into public or private buildings, homes, and other areas where GPS signals may be minimal. All bicycles need to be locked at the end of the ride. To lock a bicycle, you need to lock the GPS locker on the back of the bicycle by pushing the lever to the lock position and also locking the password locker on the bicycle to a sturdy object, such as a bicycle rack or lamp post. We ask that you obey all laws and regulations when riding a bicycle in Yerevan. Here are a couple of rules to follow:
1) Wear a properly fitted helmet
2) Check the bicycle before riding – make sure the breaks work, lights are functioning, and the seat is adjusted to the right height
3) Watch and avoid road hazards, such as potholes
4) Obey all traffic laws, such as stopping at red lights
5) Watch out for parked cars since doors can open unexpectedly
6) Ride predictably. For example, riding in a straight line
7) Look and signal before turning
8) Ride with the traffic flow, ride on the same side as vehicles going in the same direction (never against the traffic flow)

Yes! We are hoping to make YerevanRide as environmentally conscious as possible. Our GPS bicycle lockers are powered by a solar panel in the front basket of the bicycle.
Our bicycles have multiple anti-theft preventions. Many are proprietary methods that we do not wish to disclose. Here are some examples of anti-theft prevention methods we use: first, we use custom-made bolts and screws which make it very difficult to take apart our bicycle. Second, we have GPS lockers attached to the bicycle that can very accurately track down the bicycle’s location. Meaning, if someone does try to steal a bicycle, we can tell local law enforcement and track down the bicycles. Third, we have added a second password locker that people have to tie the bicycle to a sturdy object, such as a bicycle rack or lamp post.
